New Starters’ Mentoring Scheme

What is it?

Cognisant of how valuable mentoring can be in the initial stages of one’s career path, GPWN has recently launched a pro-bono initiative, the New Starters’ Mentoring Scheme. This is a one-to-one informal mentoring scheme made available to recent graduates and young professionals of Greek origin wishing to pursue a career in the UK.

How to participate

If you are a recent graduate or young professional of Greek origin and want to pursue a career in the UK, there is a lot of useful information and practical tips our volunteer mentors can share with you. All of us have been through this before and have at times learnt things the difficult way. Relocating and starting a career in a new country can be a daunting experience for many and we are keen to help in any way we can. Please contact us at mentoring@greekprofessionalwomen.org, setting out your educational background and which career path you are interested in pursuing and we will allocate you to one of our volunteer mentors whose background and profession is closer to yours. Your allocated mentor will then get directly in touch with you to set up a time for a meeting or call with you and assist you with your queries.
